Using FME for Car Collision Data Processing

Avineon is working on a project for the Regional Municipality of York in Ontario. Part of this project involves the ingest of XML-format car collision data sourced from a local authority into the Region’s traffic engineering Oracle database. This process is automated using several FME workflows and is illustrative of the wide range of functionality within FME including data transformation, geocoding, web service integration, and binary encapsulation among others. This presentation will highlight the use of FME for this project and examine both problems solved and issues encountered during its development.
