Puzzling Through Land Descriptions and Parcel Ownership Data with FME

Oil and Gas projects can be level upon level of data puzzles - complex lease descriptions to parse and interpret, well data that varies widely from state to state, landowner details held in more than three thousand county websites and government databases - and all of this often driven by a master document as simple as a spreadsheet. In this presentation, we will demonstrate how WhiteStar uses FME to automate and pull these all together, with a custom transformer that interprets legal descriptions and creates geometries from an FME Server service, and ties it all together with homogenized well and landowner data - managed, of course, with FME.
